The Town of Stratford has received a written decision from the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC) on the appeal by Landfest Company Ltd. for a proposed rezoning development for Reddin Meadows from Low Density Residential Zone (R1) to Planned Unit Residential Development Zone (parcel numbers 1061175, 1061167 and 329011).

Media Release: Climate Tracker Initiative Launches in Charlottetown and Stratford (April 20, 2022)

The City of Charlottetown, in partnership with the Town of Stratford and the School of Climate Change and Adaptation at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), have launched Climate Trackers – a new citizen-science based sustainability initiative. Community members are being invited to note their observations related to seasonal changes, weather, plants and wildlife, drainage, flooding and more around their home or local neighbourhood.

Media Release: Kellys Pond Watershed Restoration (April 13, 2022)

The Town of Stratford is pleased to announce that we have been approved for $254,088 in funding through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program’s (ICIP) Green Infrastructure stream for restoration of the Kelly’s Pond-Moore’s Pond watershed system, with a total project value of $346,500.

Media Release: Stratford Approves 2022-23 Budget (March 23, 2022)

At a special council meeting held today, Stratford Town Council passed resolutions to adopt the 2022/23 Town operating and capital budgets, and the 2022/23 Stratford Utility operating and capital budgets. The budget is balanced without tax increases or Stratford Utility rate increase for the upcoming year, and results in an operational budget surplus of $6,800.

Speed humps are an accepted traffic calming device and are suitable for installation on residential streets in the Town of Stratford. The Town of Stratford has developed a policy to assist with the installation of, and selection of priority areas, to have speed humps placed in residential neighbourhoods in our community.

Media Release: Town of Stratford Announces New CAO (January 13, 2022)

At its regular monthly meeting on January 12, 2022, the Town of Stratford Council approved a resolution appointing Jeremy Crosby as the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Prior to his appointment, Mr. Crosby was employed for 17 years as the Town’s Director of Infrastructure and as the Deputy CAO.
