The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

Supplementary Capital Budget

A resolution was approved awarding Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions to provide transit electrification planning and consulting services to the Capital Area Transit Coordinating Committee which includes Stratford. A supplementary capital budget was approved in the amount of $24,400 which represents Stratford’s portion of the project.

Request for Decision Denied

A resolution was denied following a Request for Decision which was made by residents looking to purchase a portion of the Town’s parkland on Saints Crescent. The parkland was dedicated to the Town of Stratford as part of the subdivision construction for the use and enjoyment of all residents.

Variance Request Approved

An application was received, and subsequently approved by resolution, granting three required variances to a portion of PID 865550 on Creekside Drive. The proposed single family dwelling would be located within two zones as they existed and required the variance to allow for future construction on this property.

Committee Members Approved

Council approved two committee members for the Diversity and Inclusion Sub-Committee to fill existing vacancies.
