The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 via Zoom due to the change to the COVID alert level on PEI.

Long Term Financing

A resolution was approved at the December 9, 2020 Council Meeting to award the long-term financing required for the waste water delivery system project. This was awarded to RBC who responded to the request for proposals with an all-in rate of 2.17% for a 25 year swap term.

Water Station Upgrades Resolution

The water station upgrades tender was awarded to Hansen Electric in the amount of $201,100.00 (HST excluded) for required work to the Pondside water station. This project includes Provincial and Federal funding through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

Appointment of Directors

The Town of Stratford has seven members on the Board of Directors of the Cross Roads Rural Community Fire Company. Beginning with this upcoming term, Council intends to appoint two members each year, for three year terms, so that there is regular turn over on the Board but also continuity with only two new members per year.
