The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
Amendment to Building Bylaw
A resolution was approved to adopt the proposed amendment to the Building Bylaw, Bylaw #50, which adopts the 2020 National Building Code of Canada and the 2020 National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings in conjunction with the Province of Prince Edward Island so as to not conflict with the more stringent provisions within these updated standards.
Community Campus Solar Array
Council approved a resolution awarding the tender to Hansen Solar Energy Ltd. in the amount of $297,000 (HST excluded) for a solar array project on the Community Campus. The project consists of project consisting of the design and build of a 100kW photo voltaic ground mount solar array, including the supply and installation of all incidentals and appurtenances, fencing, driveway access and reinstatement.
Annual Resident Survey
Residents were reminded that the 2024 Annual Resident Survey is now open. All residents are encouraged to complete it and provide their input into future decisions of the Town of Stratford.
