The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
Special Presentation
A special presentations was held early in the council agenda to recognize the 2025 winners of the ‘Water’s Cool’ Water School who will be featured in the upcoming calendar. The grade five students who have their artwork included are as follows:

Public Meeting Called
A resolution was approved to hold a public meeting to solicit input on a rezoning application from Cornerstone Baptist Church for PID 1016377, located at 295 Shakespeare Drive, from the Town Centre Institutional (TCI) Zone to the Town Centre Mixed Use (TCMU) Zone for the future creation of three (3) medium density residential lots along Shakespeare Drive and for the expansion of the existing institutional (church) building. The public meeting will be set at a future date and time to be determined by staff.
First Reading Held
An application from Falcon Homes rezone PID 1085976 located on Ducks Landing, from the Low Density Residential (R1) zone to the Town Centre Residential (TCR) Zone, to facilitate a future 6-unit stacked townhouse was approved by a 5-1 vote.
Committee Appointment
Council approved a committee appointment to fill a vacancy on the Town’s Diversity and Inclusion Sub-Committee.
