The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Community Campus Boundary Restructuring

A resolution was approved to apply to the Lieutenant Governor in Council to restructure to the Town boundary through the annexation of the portion of parcel number 608141 that is located beyond the town boundary, as well as an adjoining parcel number 814095. The Town’s proposed restructuring proposal and application will now be filed with the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission for consideration in accordance with subsection 15(4) of the Municipal Government Act.

Switch (PACE) Program Bylaw

First reading of a bylaw to allow the Town of Stratford to proceed with a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program, alongside the City of Charlottetown and Town of Wolfville, NS, and administered by PACE Atlantic CIC, was held. An application has been submitted to FCM for loan and grant funding to offer a PACE program to the residents and businesses of our communities and, if received, the program in Stratford and Charlottetown will be branded as the Switch Program.
