Stratford Residents Invited to Community Energy Plan Workshop

For Immediate Release: September 21, 2016

The Town of Stratford is holding a Community Energy Plan Workshop on September 27, 2016 from 7-9pm. This workshop is a chance for residents to provide input on the strategies required to make Stratford’s Community Energy Plan a success. There will be a Free Home Weatherization Service valued at $250 available as a door prize which includes air sealing windows and doors, installing foam gaskets in electrical switches and outlets, installing a new programmable thermostat and a low-flow showerhead, and installing up to 6 CFL lamps and up to 4 LED lamps.

“The Community Energy Plan will help residents and businesses to reduce their energy cost and greenhouse gas emissions” said Mayor David Dunphy “so it is important that residents and businesses help to create the plan

This is just one of many events allowing residents to shape Stratford’s energy future. More information about the Stratford Community Energy Plan, and this workshop, will be available at the Stratford Community Expo on Saturday, September 24th at Stratford Town Centre.

The Community Energy Plan Workshop is open to all residents, businesses and interested stakeholders with no RSVP required.
