Cost $25.00 per person.
*HANDMADE RUG BRAIDING STANDS can be purchased in advance for $45.00 each. Stand are made by Sandy Kerr and there are a limited number available for purchase. If you wish to purchase a rug braiding stand please bring cash payment on April 29.

DEADLINE for registration is April 25

*The course will teach rug braiding techniques but they will not make a rug since we only have time for a decorative mat. However the technique is the same and perhaps some of them will use these techniques for braiding a rug later on.

SUPPLY LIST
-scissors
-heavy thread such as button thread
-needle
-bodkin (Bodkin: Also called ballpoints, this is a long, thick needle with a ballpoint end and a large, elongated eye. ) This is used for lacing the braids.
-Fabric ( 48 feet of 2 1/2 ” material…can be wool,corduroy, denim or other fairly heavy fabric. Each mat needs 3 x 16 feet for braiding.)
The colours can be the same or all different….whatever will fit with the colours of the room they will be putting the decorative mat in.

*Fisherman’s twine for lacing and rug braiding stands will be provided *

Please bring your lunch and a snack (There is a little fridge on site) and a coffee maker and kettle for making your own coffee and tea.
