Stratford supports Earth Hour 2010, watch for details of this year's celebration that takes place on Saturday March 27 at 8:30 PM and check www.wwf.ca/earthhour for more information on how this global movement works to inform government leaders of the need for action on climate change.
The Town of Stratford is embracing sustainability because we care about future generations and we know that it makes sense to tread more lightly on the earth. Economic Development within the town will accomodate the needs of all residents. With the help of Stratford residents and a network of municipalities and businesses in Atlantic Canada we are laying the groundwork for a more sustainable community. Imagine Stratford will bring success stories and positive experiences to inspire Stratford's future.
For a start, check out the material in Stratford 2028, and review the Decision Making Framework that Stratford Town Council has adopted. We want to know what kind of town you want for the future. What will Stratford look like in 2028, What is your vision for the town and how will we get there?
Please tell us what you think by emailing or phoning Douglas Deacon, Sustainable Economic Development Coordinator at (902) 367-3605 or ddeacon@town.stratford.pe.ca
