Introduction

The Finance and Administration department is responsible for all the financial reporting of the Stratford Utility Corporation. We are also responsible for the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget. The Finance and Administration department issues the bills for the Stratford Utility Corporation and answers any questions regarding the financial component of our residents bills.

The water and sewer bills are issued on a quarterly basis in the first week of January, April, July and October and are due 30 days after they are issued. Any questions regarding your bills can be directed to 367-3228 or 569-6258.

The Utility issues invoices base on the current  rates for Stratford Utility 2009, these rates are determined on an annual basis by the Stratford Utility Corporation.


Stratford Utility bills can be paid at any chartered bank, Stratford Town Hall or through online banking with any major bank. We accept the following methods of payment: cash, cheques, Visa, Mastercard, Debit. If you are interested in automatic credit card payments, please contact 367-3228 or 569-6258.
 

All properties within the Town of Stratford where, service is available, are subject to the following water and sewer charges as outlined in the policy below. A brief summary of current Stratford Utility rates is provided here and the full document is contained in the Utility Tariff Policy. Bills are sent out in January, July, October and December.  To date, only commercial customers are metered.

Residents, contractors or developers who are carrying out any type of water or sewer connections with in the Town are reminded of the need to contact the utility regarding these connections. Please consult the Stratford Public Utility Information Phamphlet for more infomation. New customer can apply for service using the Application for Sewer and Water Service . All water and sewer work within the Town of Stratford must be done in accordance with Stratford Utility Municipal Servicing Standards, Canadian and Provincial plumbing regulations.

Regulations concerning these services are found in Customer Service Regulations Bylaw #21 and in the Mandatory Connection Bylaw #28as will, you may be affected by the Capital Contribution Policy #18
