Mayor and Council

From the Mayor's Office and on behalf of Town Council and staff, I wish to welcome all residents and visitors to our Town web site. Council is committed to updating the website on a regular basis and continuing the regular newsletters to all residents. Information and communication are the keys to any successful relationship, and the Town genuinely tries to lead by example. Our Annual Report is released every spring (in the March/April time frame) and there are 3 other newsletters produced quarterly. We welcome suggestions for articles and newsworthy items to share with fellow residents. 

Volunteers are the backbone of many communities, and Stratford is no exception. The participation of volunteers in Town committees, community organizations and sports teams, are only a few ways in which residents provide positive contributions to the Town. Please consider volunteering in some way ... The rewards are worth it!

We are committed to principles of sustainability and are being guided by a motivated and dedicated staff. Sustainability principles are filtering into every aspect of Town life, from subdivision planning thru to the purchase of our first hybrid vehicle. Being on the forefront of change and sustainability isn't always easy or non-controversial ....   but the end result will be worth it ....    just ask our kids!

Stratford is indeed a beautiful and growing community. Managing rapid change and growth is always a challenge for Council and staff ..... Please let us know how you think we are doing.
