Media Release – Stratford Winter FamFest Kicks Off

Stratford, PE -The Town of Stratford's Winter FamFest kicks off Islander Day weekend, with a series of events for families and winter enthusiasts of all ages. This exciting and fun-filled weekend fair is Stratford's newly branded and expanded annual winter carnival, featuring dozens of family-friendly activities. The events begin Friday night with a Youth Dance at 7pm at the Stratford Town Centre.

Saturday's festivities include annual favourites such as the Lions Club pancake breakfast and official Welcoming Ceremony, Build-a-Birdfeeder event, and a free skate at the Bunbury Outdoor Rink. New this year will be a Pickleball Demonstration at the Town Centre Gym.

For those who want to enjoy the outdoors, there will be outdoor active playtime at Cotton Park and Sleigh or Wagon Rides and a Petting Zoo at Great Northern Adventures on Saturday afternoon. A family movie at the Stratford Youth Centre is the perfect way to end this action-packed day!

Stratford's FamFest Fun Fair and inaugural Snowland will take place from 1:00 -5:00pm on both Sunday and Islander Day this year. This two-day event will be a family highlight of the weekend, with activities such as inflatables, games, obstacle courses, mini golf, face painting, balloon twisting, and more. On Sunday, meet members of the Island Storm Basketball Team AND have your picture taken with some of your favourite Star Wars characters! You can also stop by the Community Energy Plan Room and make a smoothie on the blender bike, play trivia, and win prizes.

Families can purchase a bracelet or individual tickets, with proceeds going to the Stratford Youth Centre. There will also be free activities all afternoon in the Family Lounge. All Fun Fair activities take place at the Stratford Town Centre.
