Call for Committee Volunteers

Are you interested in contributing to our community and being a part of making Stratford the best community possible?

Stratford Town Council has established a number of committees and sub-committees to provide advice and to carry out functions.

Apply now to be a member of a Stratford Committee and make a difference in our Town. All Stratford residents are eligible and no previous experience is required. The next term is from December 1, 2018 to November 30, 2020. Commitment consists of one meeting per month for standing committees while sub-committee members may have special projects or events that require additional time which varies throughout the year. The Town of Stratford has recently established a committee appointment policy to better help ensure that or Town committees are representative of the broader community and that all perspectives are considered as much as possible. To apply please fill out the following form, print an application or pickup an application at Stratford Town Centre (234 Shakespeare Drive). Deadline to apply is 12 noon on Friday, October 26, 2018.

The Town of Stratford invites interested residents to join us for an information session on Wednesday, October 10th at 6:30pm in the Southport Room, Stratford Town Centre, 234 Shakespeare Drive. This opportunity will allow you to learn more about the committees available, how they operate and how you can contribute to building the best community possible by volunteering on one.

 


 

Committee Application

  • Your voluntary response to the following diversity questions will assist us in determining whether the Town of Stratford committees are representative of the diverse residents we serve. The information is confidential and only used for statistical and diversity representation purposes.

The Town of Stratford thanks all applicants for your interest in our committees. Please recognize that there is limited space based on the number of returning committee members and legislated size of our committees. We will be in touch with you should you be selected to proceed to a committee at this time. We will keep all applications on hand for a maximum two year period after which time you will need to apply again as part of our 2018 Committee Appointment Process.
