Ride Stratford T3 for Free

As part of the ongoing efforts by the Town of Stratford to increase ridership on the Stratford T3 Transit system, residents will have the opportunity to ride free during the week of September 29 to October 3.
For the past number of months Councillors Steve Ogden and Emile Gallant have been looking at ways to increase the number of residents using the bus in Stratford. Through meetings with residents and Town of Stratford staff they have developed a number of recommendations. One of these recommendations was a week of free transit.
“Many residents who are regular riders have told us that they believe if people give the bus a try they will realize the benefits and convenience of using the bus,” said Councillor Steve Ogden. “Providing a week of free service will allow residents to gain a better understanding of the service T3 Transit provides and the opportunity to determine if the bus fits into their daily schedule.”
“Ride T3 for Free Week” will be kicked off at the Stratford Community Expo on September 27, where representatives from T3 Transit will be on hand to answer resident’s questions and provide schedule information.
“The Town of Stratford is working to ensure the Stratford T3 Transit system is a successful and beneficial service for residents,” said Mayor Dunphy.
Riders wishing to take advantage of the free week will need special tickets which will be available after September 22 at the Stratford Town Centre, from Stratford T3 bus drivers, and tickets will also be available from the T3 Transit booth at the Stratford Community Expo on September 27.
The Town of Stratford is committed to being a thriving and sustainable community and believes the transit system is an important part of this as we continue to build the best community possible.
