Robert L. Cotton Trail

STRATFORDTRAIL2

This trail has been developed as a tribute to Robert L. Cotton, a local businessman whose contributions toward rural beautification included the gift of this park in addition to lands at Strathgartney Park, and similar areas in Eldon and Brudenell, Prince Edward Island.   On the 2nd June, 1998, the Town of Stratford obtained legal ownership of this seventeen acre property.

The wish of Robert L. Cotton, via the Cotton Trust, was for the park to be developed as a passive public recreation area. In addition to the walking trail the site includes wild flower and herb gardens, an arboretum, and bird feeding station.
