Community Curbside Treasure Hunt – November 10 & 11

Clean out your closets, nooks and garages Stratford and join in the Community Curbside Treasure Hunt on Saturday, November 10 & Sunday, November 11, 2018.

What is the Community Curbside Treasure Hunt?

Popular in many other cities across Canada, Curbside Giveaway Weekends are similar to a yard sale except all items are FREE!  The aim of this weekend is to reduce the amount of garbage that will end up at Island Waste Management facilities during the waste pick up in Stratford during their annual fall cleanup (Nov. 12-16).

Your junk could be someone else’s treasure!

Residents are invited to place items you wish to “re-home” at your curbside between 5pm Friday, November 9th and 8am on Saturday, November 10th.  Islanders are invited to begin “hunting” through Stratford to find their new-to-me treasures.  Maybe you have a kitchen chair that you never got around to refinishing or that pile of books you’ve been meaning to drop off – here’s your chance to find them a new home!
