The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.


Amendment Adopted

Second reading and adoption of an amendment to the Zoning and Development Bylaw, Bylaw #45, was approved. This amendment is required to reduce confusion in the industry caused by referring to the vertical fire separation required for semi-detached and townhouse dwellings as a “firewall”. The proposed text amendments will not change building permit requirements or the ability to subdivide attached dwellings from what has been required since the Town first adopted the National Building Code of Canada in 2011.

Council Dates Set

A resolution was approved to set the dates for council and committee of the whole meetings in 2026.
